1. Can you please tell us a little about your background and how you got to where you are today?

I am Seasoned Digital Executive with Hands-on experience to bring Value of IT for Business Growth & Transformation.

My Specialties are, Strategic Planning, IT Cost & Budget, Change Management, Digitalization of Business functions, IoT and SMAC.

I am having total 18+ Years of experience… Started career as programmer and reached to position of CIO…

I am Inspired to create a sustainable organisation, people, culture & capabilities…

I wish not end my life with only professional career but will certainly go in social service after few years…

 

2. What apps, gadgets or tools, you can’t live without

Frankly, no such gadgets without which I can’t live… I love people more than gadgets… Principals taught to me by parents and gurus are – Human and Mankind are much more important in our life than anything else… I love people, I Love Humanity, I Love Nature and animals…

But yes, few gadget like more are -- my iPhone and my Paperwhite Kindle…

 

3. What is the best life hack?

I learnt to Say “No”

I start my day early, even if I go bed late… I am fond of heavy breakfast…

Make / Review “To Do List” first thing in morning…

Set Hard but Achievable deadlines…

Complete most important task first…

 

4. How do you keep track of what is important?

Most important things of my life are in my mind all the time... I keep them in mind unless they are achieved / closed…

I use various tools to keep me reminding other important things of my professional and workplaces… I use these tools to keep track and progress of activities…

 

5. What is your least favourite thing to do and how do you deal with it?

In my professional life,

Generally, I don’t like much of lengthy and pointless discussion on any of the matter… I wish to have crisp and up to the point discussion and move towards decision / conclusion…

To tackle this, I generally ask the people straight and to the point question and try to figure out exact answer…

In my personal life,

I avoid people not having social responsibility…

 

6. How do you recharge your batteries? 

Reading and Driving I Like most… On an average, I read 8-10 hours per week… I read various books… not limiting myself to technology or management books… I also read social books, historical books, and some random stories and even I read religious books…

Whenever time permits, I go on long drive along with my family… I drive my car on most of our family vacation…

 

7. What is the best advice that you have ever received?

My father advised me,

  •  Your success depends on what kind of circle you have, if you are circled with great people and personality, you will be most successful…

My former boss gave me mantra once to be successful in professional career –

  1.  Doing the job and showing the job are two different things, either you do and you will fail… do both things simultaneously…

 

 8. What is your leadership mantra?

Learn – Re-Learn – De-Learn

Be quick to praise but be slow in criticize – Praise in Public but criticize in private…

 

 9. What makes you laugh?

Talking, Playing with children makes me laugh… I consistently learn from them to be happy in any circumstances…

 

10. What makes you angry?

Any wrongdoing with woman and Children makes me very angry.

 

11. How do you keep learning and staying on top of the tech trends playing out?

Reading… Continuously networking with people, attending conferences… Learning is process which one must continue like we do eating, sleeping so on…

If you fail to plan, you are planning to fail…

 

13. What is your advice to people who aspire to become leaders sometime soon?

I don’t consider myself as senior as I can advise people… I can suggest few things which I learnt.

  •  Great result those world see are not only the success parameter of your life…
  •  Respect is things which you need to earn, you can’t force people to respect you...
  •  Leaders are always alone in the event of failure… Prepare for it!
